Cloud Version 1.01.57 Release Notes

(Coming Soon)

Our latest update brings significant improvements to the performance of the CYFOX Cloud Multi-tenancy platform. This version supports a vast number of customers, ensuring full functionality for the UI with more than half a million endpoints connected and reporting directly to the cloud.

CYFOX Cloud's latest version focuses on enhancing the overall user experience by reducing loading times for multiple actions, from general system connection (login) to performance actions (e.g., attack queries). This update aims to make interactions with the platform faster and more efficient.

Additionally, the improved performance now allows for additional events to be reported, which enhances the logic used to classify clients on the heatmap into relevant categories via the Heatmap

This version also resolves a critical issue that caused all clients to appear as disconnected without any reason, ensuring a more reliable and stable experience for all users.

Introducing "Self/MSSP SOC"

21 May, 2024

The update introduces a new approach to how clients, whether they have SOC services or not, are displayed in the CYFOX cloud.

Starting today, the platform will support an additional mode for cloud clients, in addition to SOC as a service and Self-Managed.

Within this mode, the MSSP can choose to provide SOC services themselves.

By doing so, the MSSP/Parent of the client will be able to see the client on the dashboard, connect with them, and provide support. The only change is that, unlike the regular SOC services operated by CYFOX (and charged accordingly), the self-SOC mode will not incur any additional charges, as the MSSP is handling it instead.

To set the MSSP SOC mode, choose the relevant option within the additional services field as part of the license shipment procedure.

Heatmap Display for Self-Managed End-Customers

In addition, based on customer feedback, starting from this version, end-customers operating in a self-managed mode will also be displayed in the heatmap.

The parent organization will only receive an indication of the existence of the end client but will not be able to connect with them as they can with clients receiving SOC services.

Additional Bug Fixes & Enhancements

  • Fixed the issue causing the customer to disappear from the heatmap for a few seconds.

  • Fixed broken Help Center and documentation links.

  • Fixed the issue showing irrelevant clients under the disconnected field.

Inventory Migration to the Cloud

1 Dec, 2023

CYFOX Cloud™, which was initially designed to empower customers in managing their servers from the cloud, has undergone substantial enhancements to facilitate better inventory management and significantly improve system performance.

Previously, customers utilizing a hybrid mode, where they had both on-premises servers and cloud services, experienced their inventory split into two segments:

  • Agents directly connected to the Cloud were visible from the company's cloud interface.

  • Agents linked to the local server were exclusively accessible from the server's user interface (UI).

This division created challenges for clients who needed to oversee both, requiring them to navigate two distinct locations.

With the latest improvements, all Agents will now report to the cloud, even if they are communicating with a local server. This unified approach simplifies inventory management by providing a consolidated view of all assets in a single location (CYFOX Cloud™)

Performance Enhancements

1 Nov, 2023

The new version incorporates a significant enhancement in the query methodology employed within the cloud, resulting in markedly improved system performance compared to previous versions.

Additional Bug Fixes & Enhancements

  • Basic Resolution of Text Input Behavior Issues: Previously identified issues related to the behavior of text inputs, specifically those involving special characters, have been effectively resolved. These resolutions have eliminated system errors stemming from these input issues, resulting in a smoother user experience.

  • Login Vulnerabilities Mitigated: To improve user security, a suite of new methods has been implemented to fortify the login system. These measures include enhanced protection against brute force attacks, ensuring a safer and more secure login process for all users.
